„Alter Domus“ – an investment fund administration company

Alter Domus provides investment fund administration and other services to clients investing in alternative assets. We work with funds, companies and private clients. We started our journey in Luxembourg in 2003 and, thanks to our ambitious professionals and the use of advanced technology, we have become one of the leading companies in our field, with more than 5100 employees worldwide. Three years ago, Vilnius became our third major regional operations centre in Europe, together with Birkirkara (Malta) and Cork (Ireland). Today, we have 280 professionals working in our Vilnius office and we plan to continue our growth here. The best proof of this is the 30 open positions for Fund Accounting and Bookkeeping, Legal, Compliance Operations and IT specialists. According to Alter Domus representatives, their expectations of candidates are quite simple. They focus more on candidates' motivation, willingness to develop and learn than on technical skills and specific knowledge. Candidates for junior professional positions often need only basic technical knowledge, and everything else they learn and master on the job.

In 2023, Alter Domus also launched its first internship programme in Lithuania, which invites students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and gain valuable work experience. As many as 12 students are currently doing internships in the company. Most of the students have already expressed their wish to continue working for the company after the internship.

Its alternative approach to administrative work culture is reflected not only in its name but also in its internal culture. We are creating an inclusive talent community where everyone can feel safe to be themselves. Talent productivity and competencies are continuously strengthened here, with an exclusive focus on continuous development, from the youngest professionals to the most experienced experts and managers. This is ensured by the internal Alter Domus Academy.

The highest level of training support and development of employees is confirmed by the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) recognition awarded in 2022.

Employee comfort and emotional health are very important to us. This has led us to pay close attention to the comfort of our new office in Vilnius, located in the Business Stadium North business centre. It has recently opened an additional space with an exclusive lounge, library, games room and a modern learning and event space. A hybrid work-from-home/work-from-office model is the norm for our employees, who can enjoy the company of four-legged friends when they come into the office several times a week.
