What you will be doing

Reporting to the Manager of Pricing Negotiation, with mentoring from the  Director of Pricing Operations, you will be a key member of the team and bring your developing analytical skills to a variety of projects covering all aspects of pricing.  You will be responsible for consulting with all departments to help define pricing negotiation, RFPs and contract renewals for the business, develop analytic solutions and the deliver analysis and recommendations. The Junior Pricing Analyst role is a good mix of analytical work and first contact for internal customer facing discussions. You will develop to provide expertise in analytic tools, providing on-demand analysis. There will be considerable on the job training and opportunities as well as access to develop new skills learning new analytical tools to significantly expand your role.  ​

  • Serves as a key resource for interpreting data and information; communicates results to      team members.

  • Operates as a key contact between departments to facilitate the delivery of Pricing      negotiation Team objectives.

  • Works with multiple departments to coordinate and delivery RFPs of high revenue while      ensuring deliverables are accurate and meet customer requirements.

  • Utilizes analytical tools across all departments and functional areas providing detailed reporting and analysis.

  • Assesses analytics and reporting needs; in time providing recommendations for enhanced solutions and specifications for analytical tools

  • Supports development of prototypes and models which further Pricing Negotiation Team behaviour such as building customer segmentation and matrix and executing on dynamic pricing decision.

  • Maintains and develops strong working relationships with business owners as a process      advocate.


What your background should look like

Experience developing strong analytics and reporting knowledge strongly desired.

Ideally some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer science generally obtained through completion of a three/four year Bachelor’s Degree program

  • Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams

  • Planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and      identify and apply appropriate solutions

  • Solid business acumen

  • Experience relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL) and data management desirable

  • Experience with Alteryx (desirable)

  • Experience with statistical or maths packages (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS) desirable Experience      with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices      desirable

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Excel essential
