The State Security Department is a civilian intelligence agency that monitors and assesses external and internal threats to Lithuania's national security. Our mission is to identify threats in a timely manner, analyze complex processes, and provide reliable information to decision-makers.

Working at the SSD, we face real challenges: the activities of hostile states, cyber and information threats, economic and energy security issues, and terrorism. Most of our work takes place behind the scenes, but its significance is very concrete: the security of Lithuania and its people.
